Send any File through Whatsapp: Share PDF,zip and Everything You Want

Untitled Document

Send any kind of file through Whatsapp.

Whatsapp is a cross-platform appllication which became a part of every smartphone. It made communication easier.Through Whatsapp, users can share text messages and media files like images, videos, audio clips, etc. But it does not allow its users

  • to share files greater than 16 MB and
  • to share non-media files like documents,applications,softwares.

People has been searching ways to overcome these critical problems.

Here is a way-it may not be perfect- for Android users to share media files greater than 16 MB or any other file such as PDF,zip, apk etc.

Here is the Step by Step

1) Download and install Dropbox application in your Android Device and Sign up.

Dropbox is a cloud storage system that helps people to store their files in the servers of Dropbox by creating an account and anytime they can backup their files from their accounts..

2) Download and install Cloudsend application in your Android device.

When you launch this app you will go through a quick tour. All you have to do is swip screen from right to left and you will reach Dropbox Authorization page

  • here you have to click on the Authorize Dropbox button.
  • then it will ask you to grant access to a folder in your dropbox,
  • and you have to click on the Allow button.

3) Now open the file manager i,e My Files and long click on the file you want to share. A pop-up menu will appear,

  • click on Share via
  • select Cloudsend.

(you can also upload to Dropbox, but it is better to select Cloudsend.)

Wait for the file to be uploaded into the Dropbox. You can see the uploading at the top of the screen. After the file has been successfully uploaded app will give you a notification on the drawer.

4) Open the notification to see the file by taping the drawer, or

you can see the file uploaded if you open Cloudsend.

5) if you open the notification from the drawer,a pop-menu will appear "Share file link via".(if you open the app cloudsend you can see, the file you uploadede. Click on the icon at the right side of the file name and you can see the options to share.)

Now you can select any programme(Whatsapp,bluetooth,Wi-Fi direct,Copy to clipboard etc.) to share the file.

Cloudsend will automatically create a link and you can share that link.

6) Recipient will be able to download the file using the link you shared.

If you face any problems in doing so, you can comment it here. If anyone of you gets trouble with it let me know, screenshots will be added then.
